Mendy demand

Chelsea are eyeing a move for Edouard Mendy though Rennes are reportedly reluctant to sell the goalkeeper until they find a replacement.

The 28-year-old has been identified as a possible target with reports suggesting Chelsea had a bid of €16million turned down over the weekend.

But a new report from TuttoMercatoWeb claims that Rennes will not sell without a replacement, despite Mendy hoping to join Chelsea.

Chelsea’s spending spree is set to continue even if a deal for Havertz is wrapped up.
