Jorginho holds up Man City plans
Pep Guardiola has already brought in a couple of additions to his Man City squad as they look to get their hands back on the Premier League trophy.
Winning back-to-back titles in 2017/18 and 2018/19, City were way off the pace last term as they finished a huge 18 points behind eventual winners Liverpool.
The Spaniard has already moved quickly to add to his squad ahead of next weekend’s opening round with Ferran Torres and Nathan Ake arriving from Valencia and Bournemouth respectively.
That shouldn’t be the end of their transfer business as they have been heavily tipped to splash the cash on a deal for Napoli’s highly-rated centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.
Well, it appears that a deal for the Senegal international is dragging on and it actually has something to do with Chelsea midfielder Jorginho.
Looking on course to sign for City two years ago following his standout performances for Napoli, the Italian actually instead headed to Stamford Bridge when Maurizio Sarri swapped Naples for west London.
