Lampard preaches alignment as key to transfer success
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has discussed the club’s transfer policy and approach to recruitment, praising the “joined-up” thinking of key decision-makers.
Lampard has seen his Chelsea squad bolstered quite considerably this summer, with the additions of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva.
He has credited the club’s efficient transfer dealings to his close working relationship with other figures within the club.
“You need to have the club, yourself, the scouts and people around you, hopefully, pulling in the same direction,” Lampard told the High Performance Podcast .

Chelsea release ‘Crystal Palace kit’
The release of Chelsea’s new third kit by Nike has been poorly received by fans of the club on social media.
Some have branded the new, blue-and-red stripes theme as looking like a kit in the style of Crystal Palace’s home shirt.
The ‘ember glow’ design was released in honour of the 1990s Ultramarine Air Max 180 trainers, but the novelty seems to have been lost on the Blues’ support.
To add insult to injury, Crystal Palace’s official club Twitter account replied to Chelsea’s tweet launching the kit, mocking their “ #ItsAChelseaThing ” hashtag.
Nevertheless, the third kit will be available to buy in stores from September 10th.
