Zappacosta subject of bid

Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta is set for exit talks ahead of the new season.

The full-back is said to be in talks with Atalanta with a season-long loan deal with an option to buy on the table.

That’s according to Sky Sports Italia, who say Chelsea are open to the Italian’s exit.

Zappacosta made just nine appearances last season for loan club Roma, suffering with injury issues.

No bid for Mendy

The latest reports in France suggest Chelsea are yet to make an offer for Rennes goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

L’Equipe say Rennes are still waiting for an offer for their goalkeeper.

Edouard Mendy has been linked with a move to Chelsea

That’s despite reports Chelsea had offered around £15m, which was rejected.

Reports suggest there has been no such bid, casting doubt over whether Mendy is the man Chelsea actually want to add to the goalkeeping department this summer.
