Antonio Rudiger’s Chelsea career is reportedly in doubt after failing to play for the second consecutive match.
After being an unused substitute in the 3-1 win over Brighton last Monday, Rudiger was left out of the squad completely for Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Liverpool.
The German has lost his place in the Chelsea starting XI with manager Frank Lampard favouring Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen while summer signing Thiago Silva is expected to come into the inside once he’s match fit.
Rudiger, who still has two years left on his contract, played a role in persuading Timo Werner and Kai Havertz to join Chelsea this summer.

But according to the Daily Mail, Rudiger’s time could be coming to an end with the transfer window closing on October 5.
Had Rudiger been on the bench against Liverpool, he would have had a chance of coming on after Andreas Christensen was sent off just before half-time.
Instead, Fikayo Tomori came on for his first appearance in a Chelsea shirt since February 29.
