“Anyone but him” – Fans debate Frank Lampard’s decision to pick dodgy Christensen after another dodgy game » Chelsea News

Chelsea have announced their team for the game against West Brom in an hour’s time, and there are some interesting decisions from Frank Lampard.

As expected, he couldn’t figure out how to leave Tammy Abraham out of the team after his impressive game on Tuesday – he plays up top with Timo Wener.

At the back there’s another big call – Thiago Silva is in the team, but playing with Andreas Christensen rather than Kurt Zouma, as we might have expected.

Fans on social media weren’t that happy. There’s been a growing campaign against the Dane in recent weeks, and his red card against Liverpool last weekend didn’t help his case. As one user put it, “please, anyone but him”.

Let’s hope that this big call pays off. A second clean sheet on the spin would be delightful, and would most likely lead to 3 points in the bag for us.

Zouma not even in the squad whilst Christensen starts? I’m furious.

Didn’t Christensen get a straight red… Isn’t that 3 games?? Lmao.

Tomori deserved to start ahead of Christensen but that’s just my opinion.
