Frank Lampard has praised Tammy Abraham for his reaction after Chelsea signed Timo Werner and Kai Havertz this summer.
2020 has not been the easiest for the 22-year-old after he picked up an ankle injury and then lost his place in the starting XI to Olivier Giroud.
This summer, the Blues brought in the two Germany internationals, who have shared the number nine role in the first two Premier League matches.
Abraham was given his chance to impress with a start in the 6-0 Carabao Cup rout of Barnsley on Wednesday, scoring once and providing two assists for Havertz.

The England international still has a battle on his hands to get his place in the Premier League side, but Lampard insists he is seeing everything he wants from Abraham since the players returned to training.
“With Tammy’s reaction the other night and the way he played was exactly what I want from Tammy and it’s exactly what we saw from Tammy and the success he had last year,” Lampard said.
“Performances where he showed all of his qualities in terms of holding the ball up, being able to run behind and being a real positive energy in the team.
“With Tammy and his body language the other night and what he can give off to others, I really think he needs to recognise that.
“He’s such a positive player and person when he’s in that kind of form, so it was really pleasing for me to see that.”
After being a massive reason for Chelsea clinching a top four spot, Giroud has now found himself back on the bench.
The 33-year-old netted seven goals in all competitions when football returned after the COVID-19 break, keeping Abraham out of the starting XI.
So far this season Giroud has only played 18 minutes, scoring in the Carabao Cup win over Barnsley…
