Lampard issues Edouard Mendy injury update as Chelsea suffer blow with key player missing

Frank Lampard has given the latest injury news ahead of Chelsea’s Premier League return against Southampton tomorrow afternoon.

The Blues had several injury concerns coming out of the international break, with the big one being new goalkeeper Edouard Mendy.

The 28-year-old picked up a thigh knock while training with Senegal and had been a doubt ahead of the match with the Saints this weekend.

And Lampard confirmed that Mendy will not be available for the match, having not quite recovered in time for the game.
