Chelsea transfer rumours: Tottenham told how much Antonio Rudiger costs, Ross Barkley message

The summer transfer window may have now shut – but the speculation continues. And it will not be long until clubs can do business once again.

The window reopens for a month from the start of January, as Chelsea and their rivals look to see what they need – or do not need – for the second part of the season.

Chelsea spent big over the summer, bringing in the likes of Timo Werner, Kai Havertz, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Edouard Mendy and Malang Sarr.

They could look to move some players out in January in order to recoup some of the £250million spent on new signings.

Rudiger cost revealed

Clubs wanting to sign Antonio Rudiger on loan from Chelsea would reportedly have had to pay a total of £12.5million to services the defender’s services for the 2020-21 season.

Rudiger was heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge over the summer after dropping down the pecking order under Frank Lampard.

The Germany international defender was linked with the likes of Tottenham, West Ham, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan.

However, a move did not materialise before the deadline passed.

The Athletic reports that Chelsea wanted a £5million loan fee for the 27-year-old, while interested parties were also told they would have to stump up all of his wages, said to total £7.5million for the year.

According to the report, no club was willing to meet those demands.
