Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich ‘eyeing’ Max Allegri as Frank Lampard replacement

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich may have already identified Frank Lampard’s replacement at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues chief is reportedly eyeing Massimiliano Allegri, with the Italian being lined up should Lampard be shown the door this season.

The former Juventus boss has been out of work since leaving the Serie A giants, after winning eight titles on the spin.

Italian outlet Quotidano Sportivo say Abramovich ‘wants to win’ and will have no problem axing Chelsea favourite Lampard if performances aren’t up to scratch after a summer of spending.

Allegri has been linked with Manchester United and PSG in recent months and has started learning English since his Juventus exit.
