Pulisic excited, birthday celebrations, major return – Things we noticed from Chelsea training

Chelsea have been putting the final touches to their preparations for this evening’s Champions League clash against Krasnodar.

Frank Lampard’s side take on the Russian outfit at the Krasnodar Stadium as they look to build on back-to-back clean sheets at home to Sevilla and away at Manchester United.

The Chelsea squad – minus the likes of Thiago Silva and Kepa Arrizabalaga – took part in a training session at the stadium on Tuesday night.

And during the session, defender Fikayo Tomori impressed supporters with a stunning goal.

With that said, more images and video clips from Tuesday night’s training session have since emerged, providing an insight into the mood in the Chelsea camp.

Here’s what we spotted from those training pictures and what it tells us ahead of kick-off.

Pulisic excited

For the first time in his career, Christian Pulisic will come up against Krasnodar and he seems really excited about doing so.

In a video clip of Chelsea’s training session which has been uploaded to YouTube by Hayters TV, the USA international is all smiles as he looks around the arena.

At one point he even does the Mexican wave gesture, which is somewhat strange given there will be won’t be many in attendance later on this evening.

But does seem to be taken aback by the stadium as on multiple occasions he looks around it and nods his head in agreement.

And it just so happens that he’s been tipped to make the difference against Krasnodar.
