Chelsea are once again lining up for another Champions League match tomorrow night.
The Blues face Rennes in the group stages of the competition, with Frank Lampard’s side sitting on top of Group E as it stands.
Their French opponents are rooted to the bottom on just one point so far, but as we know, anything can happen in the Champions League.
Chelsea will be hoping to extend their league at the top of the group and pull away from Sevilla, but there is never an easy game in this competition.
Rennes boss Julien Stephan believes that Chelsea are actually in a good position to go on and win the whole competition.
When asked whether Chelsea can win the Champions League, Stephan replied: “I’m convinced of it.”
He also believes they can have a successful season in the Premier League after making a host of new signings this summer.
As reported below by Nizaar Kinsella, he was full of compliments for Chelsea…
He also speaks of needing to raise their level to match Chelsea and making Chelsea ‘doubt themselves’. Stephan was also very diplomatic when asked why Lampard wasn’t asked about Rennes specifically ahead of the match #UCL #CFC
