‘Can’t lace his boots!’ – Chelsea fans fume as club legend is snubbed in Premier League vote

Manchester United hero Nemanja Vidic has been voted the Premier League’s best ever central defender by over 200,000 football fans via a Sky Sports poll.

The Manchester United legend beat Virgil Van Dijk and Rio Ferdinand to the top spot but Chelsea legend John Terry did not even make the top four.

The defender turned Aston Villa assistant was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the voting process, seeing Vincent Kompany place above him.

And that has left fans from across the football world angry, not just Chelsea supporters.

One Liverpool fan took to Twitter to say: “John Terry was genuinely miles, miles better than Vidic.”

Another replied: “John Terry must have been a striker.”
