Chelsea’s move for Malmo wonderkid being blocked by agent as player’s dad speaks out

Chelsea are being blocked in a transfer for Malmo wonderkid Anel Ahmedhodžić by his agent – and the youngster’s dad has spoken out.

The Bosnian star has enjoyed an impressive year with the side, following his transfer from Nottingham Forest in January 2019.

Making 38 appearances in the campaign, the 21-year-old has now been attracting the interest of the Blues in a £7million bid.

But Ahmedhodzic’s dad, Mirsad, has explained that the youngester’s agent Markus Rosenberg has been the stopper for the Longon side’s bid.

Speaking to Sportbladet , he said: “He’s [Rosenberg] not doing his job. He has told Marina [Granovskaia, Chelsea director] at Chelsea that Anel is not going there.”

Malmo’s young player also had an Italian agent – Frederico Pastorello – who established the initial contact with Chelsea.

But Rosenberg did not want this deal to go through, putting a stopper in the way for the Blues.

The 21-year-old’s dad added: “He [Anel] wants to go abroad after the season. Markus doesn’t fix this; he doesn’t have those contacts.

“I have tried to inform Markus that Pastorello wants to cooperate with him.”

Misrad also took to Twitter with his criticism of the defender’s agent, writing on the social media channel: “Markus Rosenborg separates the child from the father and the mother… for money. Markus wants to fool Anel.”

While Ahmedhodzic’s dad may have been acting in his interests, the same was not felt by his son.
