USA coach gives Pulisic injury update

USA head coach Gregg Berhalter has revealed Christian Pulisic’s injury is being treated as a “day-to-day” matter.

The 22-year-old winger has missed Chelsea’s last three games in all competitions after suffering a hamstring problem in the warm-up prior to the Blues’ win over Burnley.

Pulisic was still called up for international duty ahead of his country’s friendly against Wales on Thursday and travelled despite being unable to feature.

“Christian is in camp and he is listed as day-to-day,” Berhalter told Fox Sport. “It says a lot about Christian that he wasn’t playing for Chelsea but wanted to come into this camp and be around the team. His status is day-to-day.”
