Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic just cannot seem to catch a break since arriving at the club last season.
He has been plagued with a number of different injuries and has not yet managed to nail down a sustained time in the first team as a result.
He stuttered with his form when he first joined, but the American international soon started to look like the real deal when he did have a rare run of games. But no sooner than you could start to get really excited, Pulisic was struck down again.
This season has been no different, the 22-year old has missed the last three Chelsea games through an injury he sustained in the warm up before the Burnley match a few weeks back.
But Pulisic has still joined up with his USA team mates in their camp for the current international break, and Head Coach Gregg Berhalter seems to suggest that he is doing well.
Berhalter also stayed rather coy on his involvement though, hinting that he might not play a part in games and is only there to be ‘around the team’ on a ‘day-to-day’ status.
USA coach Gregg Berhalter on Pulisic joining up with USA squad despite missing 3 #CFC games with injury: Speaking to Fox Sports: “It says a lot about Christian that he wasn’t playing for Chelsea but wanted to come into this camp and be around the team. His status is day-to-day.”
