January is fast-approaching, and we all know what that means, it’s the return of ‘silly season’.
Despite Chelsea enjoying a largely successful summer transfer window, they could still be tempted into more business this winter.
Declan Rice remains a big target for the club and is wanted by Frank Lampard, and according to the latest report from Football Insider, Chelsea are ready to move back in for him this January.
But they say that in order for Chelsea to complete this deal, they will need to sell at least two of first team players Antonio Rudiger, Jorginho, or Marcos Alonso, whom of which they are willing to listen to offers for.
All three of these players could potentially be sold by Chelsea soon, but I do wonder whether the pandemic could stop them leaving on permanent deals at least until the summer.
But we know anything can happen during ‘silly season’.
