Chelsea fans rage as Ben Chilwell is withdrawn injured from England fixture

Chelsea fans have been left fuming after Ben Chilwell was withdrawn from England ‘s game against Belgium through injury.

The left-back had only just recovered from a long-term foot problem to make a promising start to life at Chelsea.

Two goals, three assists and six clean sheets in 10 games have seem him bed into Frank Lampard’s new and improved side well.

But there will now be fears over whether Chilwell will be fit enough for Chelsea’s fixture against Newcastle.

The 23-year-old was replaced on minute 38 by Arsenal ‘s Bukayo Saka and with criticism over the number of fixtures footballers are being forced to play this will do little to ease that argument. It is not clear what forced Chilwell off the pitch. While it didn’t seem serious it’s still not encouraging for Chelsea fans.
