Here are your Chelsea morning headlines for Monday, November 16.
Mendy’s world class stop
Edouard Mendy has made an impressive start to life as new Chelsea goalkeeper, with just one goal conceded across his last six matches.
However, it is now just for his club for whom he is excelling but his nation too – making a stunning save to help Senegal beat Guinea-Bissau and qualify for the AFCON, as per football.london .
It was just the 28-year-old’s seventh cap for his nation but it was another assured display and demonstrated why the Blues bought him from Rennes this summer.

Blues to sell to fund Rice deal
Chelsea are intent on landing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice and are prepared to sell several first-team players to finance the deal.
The details are outlined by a report in football.london , which claims that five first-team squad players may be sold for the Blues to land their target.
Out-of-favour goalkeeper is unsurprisingly on the list, alongside defenders Marcos Alonso and Antonio Rudiger – who are each bound to be in demand despite recent lack of game-time.
Italy international midfielder Jorginho – who could be replaced by Rice in the team – is also available while Olivier Giroud may also seek to move on due to limited opportunities following the signing of Timo Werner.
