Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard can still reverse a key decision he’s made this season.
Following Jorginho’s penalty miss in the Champions League win over Krasnodar last month – the midfielder’s second miss from the spot of the campaign – the Blues boss decided to make a change.
£47.5million summer signing Timo Werner took and scored one in the aforementioned game and repeated the trick twice more a week later when Chelsea beat Rennes 3-0
In fact, it was confirmed afterwards that the Germany international has been installed as the chief penalty taker in west London.

And Jorginho has reacted in a professional manner.
“He [Werner] took the penalties and he scored and all of us are happy,” Jorginho told the club’s official website. “It doesn’t matter who scores.
“He was wanting to take these penalties and I have no problem with that.
“The most important is that we score, it doesn’t matter who.
“That was decided before the match, and he scored, that was the most important thing so we are all happy.”
Whilst Jorginho insists he has no problem with Werner taking over the role as Chelsea’s first-choice penalty taker, he has reminded Lampard of his prowess from 12-yards just in case the decision is reversed.
For the Italy national team, the 28-year-old remains on penalty duty.
And he made no mistake in the Azzurri’s 2-0 win over Poland in the UEFA Nations League clash on Sunday evening as his hop, skip, and jump technique was enough to freeze Wojciech Szczesny and roll the ball home.
