Blues target Dortmund star

Chelsea will know that despite a busy summer transfer window they will already need to look to next summer to put the framework in for future deals.

One such player the Blues hold an interest in is Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham, as outlined by Eurosport via .

Whilst the club have long been linked with a move for another English star at the club – Jadon Sancho – it is Bellingham who may make more sense as he could prove to be an alternative to signing Declan Rice from West Ham.

Bellingham has already been capped at international level for England and looks set for a bright future in the game, whilst he may be open to a Premier League move in the near future.

With doubts over the long-term futures of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho, he could prove to be the ideal signing for Frank Lampard’s squad.

Chelsea’s team with ideal Conte signings

Former Blues boss Antonio Conte revealed in an interview with with The Telegraph that he was close to bringing Virgil van Dijk and Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2017.

“I asked for two players and we were very, very close after we won the league,” Conte said. “One player was Romelu Lukaku, the second player was Virgil van Dijk. These two players were very, very close.

“We were in contact every day and I always said that with these two players we would improve my team by 30 per cent.”

Now have outlined how the Blues starting XI would have looked under Conte with these two additions.
