Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham will be dropped when Christian Pulisic returns to full fitness, according to Owen Hargreaves.
Abraham was one of the Blues’ standout performers in the comfortable 2-0 win over Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon, with the forward netting Frank Lampard’s team’s second.
After some good work from his forward partner Timo Werner, the ball fell nicely to the 23-year-old, who hit it low and hard past Karl Darlow.

It was a relatively relaxing afternoon for Lampard’s side – who were handed an early lead after Federico Fernandez scored an own goal with just 10 minutes gone.
Abraham then wrapped it up in the second-half, but despite his goalscoring form – with the England striker scoring in his last three Chelsea games – Hargreaves has handed him a timely reminder with Pulisic nearing full fitness.
“Undroppable? Timo Werner is undroppable. But I think he’s making himself a really good squad player,” Hargreaves told Premier League Productions following the final whistle.
“I think he got 15 [goals] last season. I don’t think he gets enough credit for his overall game.
“I love the fact of his size, technically I think he’s better than people give him credit for.
“He is getting goals but I think when Frank gets his best team nailed down it’ll be Ziyech on one side, Pulisic on the other, and then Werner through the middle [with] Havertz and Mount [behind].
“I think that’s going to be his best team. But Tammy is going to be really important as a squad player.”
