Abraham hails Chelsea for ‘all guns blazing’ approach
Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham was satisfied with the team’s performance as they returned to action with a comfortable 2-0 win away at Newcastle.
It was a dominant performance from Frank Lampard’s side as they extended their winning run to five matches in all competitions and made it nine unbeaten.
The striker scored Chelsea’s second goal early in the second half after an own goal from Magpies defender Federico Fernandez opened the scoring.

“Fantastic result, we dug deep,” he told BT Sport.
“Coming here, it’s never an easy place to come and get three points, but we did that today. It was 1-0 for a long time, and they created a few chances, but so did we, but we defended well and got the second goal.
“We know we ended well, and we didn’t let the international break distract us. We had to come out all guns blazing, and that’s what we did today. It was a massive three points.”

Joe Cole praises Lampard and Abramovich
Former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole has praised Lampard and Roman Abramovich for the club’s strong start to the season.
He praised the Blues owner for keeping the faith in Lampard. Chelsea secured another top-four finish last season, but there were minor question marks over their defensive record and lack of silverware.
Abramovich has often been ruthless when it comes to sacking managers since arriving at Stamford Bridge in 2003, but he’s shown patience in the former captain and backed him in the transfer market with over £200million worth of new recruits.
“They’ve looked so good. We’ve sung the praises of Thiago Silva and Reece James, but everyone’s scoring in the forward positions….
