“Kai [Havertz] and Thiago [Silva] both travel and they are fit for selection. Christian [Pulisic] stays back and doesn’t travel but the good news is that he has had aggression in the last week. The reason he has stayed back is to get some physical work in so hopefully that will have him ready for selection come the weekend and onwards.”
Mount said he told Werner to increase his finishing?
“I am not sure about the context that has been taken in. I have never heard Mason say things like that. I think Timo knows first and foremost that if he misses a chance that he might take, as a top striker you can miss chances still in those positions. I think I mentioned it around the last game that I want players that are hungry to score goals and who are unhappy if they don’t. No one is pointing fingers at him.”

Tammy Abraham is in good form aside from just his goals?
“I am really pleased with him and he is playing really well at the minute. I agree, his all round game and off the ball work with link up play is good. I have to say, I think in some parts, it got slightly forgotten how good he was in the first half of last season because he was a massive plus for us and scored a lot of goals. He was a big reason at the time that we got a lot of results and finished fourth. A lot of individuals will take credit and Tammy should for the first half, the second half was more difficult for him. I think that is normal for a developing player because he is still relatively young. At the minute now, I am clearly seeing a mirror of how he trains and how he is. He is training brilliantly, he is enthusiastic which is when Tammy is at his best. I hope that continues.”
