Ruben Loftus-Cheek went to Fulham to get game-time, but he’s really struggled for starts since crossing West London.
This weekend, with his team 3-0 down, he finally got the call off the bench to try and rescue things – and he really did change the game once he arrived. His passing and movement helped Scott Parker’s team get up the pitch, and his physicality was useful against Everton’s tough midfield.
He won a penalty and even got a goal to cap it all off, firing home a striker that was deflected past Jordan Pickford. It wasn’t enough to earn his team a point, but it may have earned RLC a start next week.
