His shots were all accurate, his crosses were both accurate, he completed all his take ons, created two chances, completed all his 3 tackles and just generally continued his good run as a number 8 in Frank Lampard’s midfield.

He created two chances. And he got an assist for the opening goal. He couldn’t really have played much better. The only thing that let him down was his teammates, who were a little sluggish at times and couldn’t get on his wavelength.
