Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has dubbed Harry Kane ‘one of the best in the world’ ahead of his side’s clash with Tottenham on Sunday.
Kane has been in electric form this season, scoring 13 times in 15 games across all competitions, the England international thriving under Jose Mourinho.
On Sunday, Kane and his Tottenham teammates take on Chelsea as they look to remain in top spot and extend their two-point gap over their rivals and fellow fast-starters.
Keeping Kane quiet will likely be Chelsea’s biggest challenge on Sunday, and ahead of the game, Lampard has given his verdict on the in-form striker, dubbing him one of the world’s best.

“Firstly, the queries of Harry Kane are incredible and no matter who is managing him, the player Harry Kane is one of the best in world football,” he said in his pre-match press conference.
“He is someone who can play as an out and out nine or drop off, now he is developing in his own way as he matures as a player. He is a really impressive player, I have got no doubts about that.
“I have got a huge amount of respect for Harry Kane and around him now, he has got a very solid team, squad, good players around him, players that want to run around him if he wants to come short.

“He is a very intelligent player, he has got a very good coach and that is why they are in a strong position. As a coach, you rely on top players to perform. At the minute, Harry Kane is an example of a player in a sweet spot in top football.”
Lampard also spoke about Spurs more broadly, claiming there’s nothing to read into the fact Chelsea beat their London rivals twice last season with Mourinho’s men improving vastly since then.
