“Such a dirty team” – Some Chelsea fans not happy with Sevilla after scrappy first half » Chelsea News

It’s 1-0 at half time, and Chelsea have rather faded after a bright start.

They were really exceptional early on, scoring after 8 minutes of pure pressure, but they soon lost that intensity.

We didn’t expect a particularly flowing performance from Frank Lampard’s side, given the heavy rotation involved in the selection tonight, but we’d still like to see them go up a gear in the second half.

Sevilla are making things difficult, and even with changes on their side of the field they’re getting stuck in and getting in the referee’s ear. “Such a dirty team” as one Chelsea fan moaned.

We’ve got to test their young goalkeeper – making his first team debut tonight – and start making better decisions in the final third.

At this rate, it will be another disappointing second half slump, and one that could seriously damage our hopes of finishing top.

#SEVCHE HT 💭

– Good start. Havertz magic, Giroud does what he does best
– Midfield need to do better. Kovacic needs to get in the game more
– Defence having their moments. You have to expect this with rotation
– 👌🏼 Att set-pieces / stop silly fouls
– Want to see more #CHO

Havertz eats up ground so well with the ball at his feet. World class decision maker as well. https://t.co/phOOS8VsGJ

Kai Havertz vs Sevilla (1st Half):

1 assist
94% pass accuracy
100% long ball accuracy
2 dribbles
4/5 ground duels won
1 tackle

Fantastic performance so far. pic.twitter.com/GQF1gjjlrZ
