Alioski’s honest take on Blues
Leeds United star Ezgjan Alioski has warned his teammates not to be fearful of Chelsea when they take on the Blues on Saturday night.
Frank Lampard’s side welcome Marcelo Bielsa and his men to Stamford Bridge at the weekend, but Alioski won’t be scared of his opponents despite the hosts’ strong start to the 2020/21 season.
“Of course their attacking is really good. They have really good individual players that can do something,” the Whites man said, when speaking to BBC Radio Leeds. “Individually they are good but I don’t know if they are better like a team together, better than us to get the performance like we can do.

“That’s why we need to go there only as a team and don’t be afraid and to play like how we play against each team, every big club and I think everybody is excited to play these teams.”
Giroud makes decision on Chelsea future
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud wants to stay at Stamford Bridge for the rest of the season, but is determined to play more first-team minutes, he has confirmed.
The France international has hardly been involved for the Blues so far this season, but handed Lampard a timely reminder of his ability by scoring four goals in the side’s comfortable win over Sevilla in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
Giroud said: “The gaffer gave me the opportunity to play and I hope I will have more opportunities again because I think I’ve shown him that I am ready to fight for the team. We all want to be on the pitch but we have a great squad.
