Frank Lampard nominated for Premier League Manager of the Month » Chelsea News

Frank Lampard has been nominated for the Barclays Premier League manager of the month award.

The Chelsea boss had perhaps his best month as a manager yet, steamrollering Sheffield United 4-1, beating Newcastle with a clean sheet, and then getting a creditable draw with Tottenham that was just a couple of offside inches away from being a win.

Meanwhile in Europe he earned a late away win in France to qualify from the group, and then a record breaking win away in Seville. Those two won’t count towards this award, but it all adds up to an incredibly successful month for the club.

The other nominees are Ole Gunnar Sosjkaer, Jose Mourinho and David Moyes – who was the only manager to win all of their matches in November.

Lampard may not win this one, but looking at a wider timescale, there’s possibly nobody who has had a better Autumn overall.

He may not win this one, but we’ve got a feeling there’s plenty of nominations – and wins – still to come.
