Chelsea spent over £200m in the summer transfer window, and are really feeling the benefit in the first half of the season.
The Blues have progressed into the Round of 16 of the Champions League after cruising through their group, and Frank Lampard’s team are flying high in the Premier League as well.
Lampard isn’t the sort of person to rest on what he’s already got – and he’ll be targeting the January transfer window as a period that can improve his squad.

Chelsea are interested in signing Cagliari centre-back Sebastian Walukiewicz, according to Corriere dello Sport (via the Mirror ).
With Thiago Silva being 36-years-old, he may not have too many days left in the top-flight, despite his strong form since arriving at the Blues.
Polish defender Walukiewicz – who is rated at £54m – has now emerged as a target for Lampard, and someone who could replace Silva.
However, Premier League duo Liverpool and Manchester United are also keen on the 20-year-old, as well as Italian giants Inter Milan.
Potential Rudiger loan
Juventus and AC Milan are both interested in signing Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on loan when the January transfer window opens, according to Italian news outlet Calciomercato.
Rudiger has only featured once in the Premier League for the Blues this season and is once again being linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge.
Lampard is willing to let the German centre-back leave in January, and a loan deal with an option to buy is an option.
The 27-year-old spent a spell at Serie A side Roma before moving to the Premier League, and a move back to Italy could help him rekindle his form.
