Man Utd could copy Chelsea transfer tactic to secure Jadon Sancho deal next month

Manchester United could sign Jadon Sancho for a cut-price fee in January.

The England international was denied the chance to return to the Premier League in the summer following a fine season of Bundesliga performances last time out.

The 20-year-old could be the subject of another approach from the Red Devils, which might delay an eventual transfer until the end of the campaign.

That sort of agreement has been utilised to good effect by Chelsea in the past, who brought in both Christian Pulisic and Hakim Ziyech in similar agreements.

As reported by United We Stand, Sancho remains a top target for the club, and that they could settle on a pre-agreement for the England international over a summer switch next month.

Pulisic signed for Chelsea from Dortmund in January of 2019 for an estimate fee of £58m, but was sent on loan back to the Bundesliga side for the remainder of that season.

Ziyech’s deal was slightly different, with the initial agreement stating that he would remain in the Netherlands until the end of the 2019/20 campaign having signed up in the previous February.

Norwegian journalist Fredrik A. Filtvedt said: “Maybe a pre-agreement for January, like Chelsea did with Pulisic.”
