Frank Lampard has told Marina Granovskaia his top Chelsea transfer target for January window

The January transfer window is almost upon us, and all eyes will be on Chelsea once again after a memorable summer at Stamford Bridge.

In total, the Blues drafted in seven new faces during the summer, spending more than a combined total of £220million, as the club hierarchy aimed to bolster their Premier League title prospects under Frank Lampard.

It was a memorable period for the club’s supporters, as deals were completed for the likes of Ben Chilwell, Hakim Ziyech, Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.

After spending such huge amount over the summer, Chelsea may be forced to ease off the accelerator pedal as far as their January recruitment drive is concerned, with the club having not been able to make as much revenue as they usually would, with the coronavirus crisis continuing to impact football heavily.
