Frank Lampard’s team today had a few interesting changes to it, with a much older and more experienced look to the team than we’re used to.
That meant Olivier Giroud in the team leading the line, and before the game the Chelsea manager was asked to justify that call.
He pointed out that “bring different things” tactically, but also that Giroud is a “leader in the dressing room”.
That seems a theme in this side right now, as the struggling coach looks to his senior players to help bail out a sinking ship. Let’s just hope it works – chances are running out.
