‘This is ridiculous!’ – Angry Chelsea fans react to what Frank Lampard has done to Fikayo Tomori

Fikayo Tomori will be a “perfect” addition to the AC Milan squad.

That is the view of the Serie A outfit’s technical director and club legend Paolo Maldini who has delivered his verdict on the Chelsea defender who is poised to seal a loan move.

The 23-year-old broke into the Blues team under head coach Frank Lampard last season, but has fallen down the centre-back pecking order following the arrival of Thiago Silva last summer.

As a result, there has been talk of Tomori leaving the club this month – albeit on loan in order to get regular first-team minutes under his belt during the second half of the season.

The good news for Tomori is that a number of clubs from across Europe have reportedly been chasing his signature.

But it would appear that AC Milan have won the race.

And there’s a chance the loan move could be made permanent at the end of the season with reports claiming an option to but for £26m will be included in the agreement.

Something that would delight Maldini greatly who has revealed that Milan’s interest in Tomori stretches beyond the January transfer window.

“We wanted Fikayo Tomori also last summer,” Maldini told Sky Italia. “He’s always been one of our targets.

“He’s perfect for our squad – we’re working on the last details.”
