Breaking news is surfacing this morning that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is set to be sacked by the club today, with the players having been told not to arrive at training until this afternoon.
This is according to the hugely reliable Matt Law of The Telegraph, who has just tweeted the information only moments ago.

There isn’t a lot of information to the story just yet, only that he confirms he is expecting to hear confirmation of the sacking today.
It comes just one day after Lampard’s Chelsea beat Luton Town 3-1 in the FA Cup, advancing into the 5th round of the competition.
But form has been poor for some time now and a string of bad results has seen Chelsea drop far down the line in the hunt for a Champions League place, and this has clearly bothered Roman Abramovich to the point that it looks like he is about to end Lampard’s reign as Blues boss.
