Ironically, Mason Mount became the youngest Chelsea captain since John Terry yesterday when he took the armband for the first time in their FA Cup win over Luton Town.

Mount lead be example once again and was one of Chelsea’s better players on the day, as he has consistently been for some time now – the captaincy was well deserved.

Terry himself, and Ashley Cole, were both quick to congratulate and pay tribute to the latest Chelsea captain on social media yesterday.

“Congratulations skip,” said Terry sharing an image of himself with a young Mason Mount in the academy.

Whilst Cole said, “my favourite Chelsea player” on a comment before the game.
