Thomas Tuchel will be allowed to manage Chelsea on Wednesday night against Wolves, according to Matt Law of the Telegraph.
He was the journalist who broke the news of Frank Lampard’s sacking this morning, so we’re inclined to believe him.
Apparently while the former PSG coach will have to quarantine in between his time at the training ground and managing games, as long as he tests negative before flying to England he will be able to join the bubble immediately.
It does feel like a bit of a loophole, but then again if you test negative there’s no real reason not to.
How much effect he’ll actually be able to have on the team with just 24 hours notice remains to be seen, but certainly by the weekend’s game against Burnley we can expect to see the beginnings of his influence om the squad.
The team selection on Wednesday night will be interesting too.
