Chelsea confirm arrival of three new coaches to boost Thomas Tuchel’s backroom staff

Chelsea have confirmed the arrival of three new coaches as Thomas Tuchel shapes his backroom staff.

It comes after the Blues came through their first match under their new manager, who was only appointed on Tuesday.

It has been a whirlwind few days at Stamford Bridge after Frank Lampard was sacked on Monday.

Along with the club legend, assistant manager Jody Morris and first-team coach Chris Jones were also let go.

Joe Edwards and Anthony Barry have been retained while Tuchel has now added his own trusted coaches to the backroom staff.

Zsolt Low will replace Morris as assistant manager while Arno Michels has filled in as first-team coach.

Benjamin Weber is the third, signing as a data analyst, with all three members of staff following Tuchel from as far back as his time in charge of Mainz.

Tuchel has already sat in the dugout to see his new side in action in a 0-0 draw with Wolves on Wednesday night.

After joining late on Tuesday, the former Paris St-Germain manager was only afforded a short evening session in training to meet his new players.
