Cesar Azpilicueta breaks silence on Antonio Rudiger rumours after Frank Lampard’s Chelsea exit

Cesar Azpilicueta admits that he and Chelsea teammate Antonio Rudiger have had “discussions” amid rumours that the duo had clashed in training on multiple occasions.

Reports stated that the relationship between the duo had come to a head more than once in training in the build up to Frank Lampard’s exit as Chelsea coach.

However, while Azpilicueta states that he and Germany international Rudiger had “discussions”, he insists that they are on good terms.

“With Toni, we didn’t have an issue and we have been working together for a few years,” Azpilicueta said.

“That news from outside, we’re not sure so that’s why Tammy and myself we both tweeted. Everything is fine and I can say that didn’t happen. We didn’t have any issues and we don’t have.

“We always work together. As other players, we have sometimes our discussions, normal in football. When results are not going well, everybody has more tension around but nothing further than this.
