Chelsea transfer rumours: Thomas Tuchel eyes Bundesliga duo for summer, Billy Gilmour loan

Chelsea are under new management following the sacking of Frank Lampard earlier this week, with Thomas Tuchel the man turned to.

The former Paris Saint-Germain squad inherits an expensive but talented squad, where he will be tasked to get the best out of the summer recruits that cost over £200m between them.

With little time remaining in the January transfer window, Tuchel is unlikely to complete any incoming business before the mid-season period slams shut.

However, that could change in the summer and the rumours suggest that the German already has his eyes on some additions.

Tuchel eyes Bundesliga duo

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Erling Haaland and David Alaba in the summer.

Sky Sports state that the Blues could rival Real Madrid to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, who could be tempted to sell the 20-year-old before a £66m release clause becomes active in the summer of 2022.

The Blues are also said to be tracking Bayern Munich defender Alaba, who will be a free agent at the end of the season.

Billy Gilmour loan

West Ham United are keen on signing Billy Gilmour on loan from Chelsea for the remainder of the season.

That is according to a report by the Mirror, who claim the Hammers are ready to give the youngster the amount of game-time he craves.

The midfielder has struggled to nail down a place in the team at Stamford Bridge this season and could fall even further down the pecking order following Thomas Tuchel’s arrival.

Gilmour is keen to leave on loan in an attempt to bolster his chances of getting into the Scotland squad for this summer’s Euro’s.
