Liverpool and Chelsea transfer interest in Dayot Upamecano confirmed by Bayern CEO

Liverpool and Chelsea have had their interest in Dayot Upamecano confirmed by Bayern Munich CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

The revelation was made after the defender’s agent, Volker Stuth, revealed there were three clubs chasing the Frenchman that he would consider.

He said there are ‘two English clubs’ as well as Bayern Munich and that Upamecano will choose ‘soon’.

RB Leipzig are bracing themselves for his departure in the summer, to which they are powerless.

A clause will come into play that will mean the 22-year-old can leave if a bid of £38m is made.

Upamecano’s market value currently stands at £54m, making the deal a bargain.
