Kylian Mbappe’s former PSG teammate Jese Rodriguez has stated that the French star wants to join Real Madrid amid transfer links to Liverpool and Chelsea.
The 22-year-old is widely considered to be one of the top attackers in world football, and made the move from Monaco to Paris in a deal worth around €175million (£153.3million) including all add-ons back in 2017.
Mbappe’s contract expires in the summer of 2022, but the French champions are believed to be preparing a new offer to tie the attacker down in Ligue 1.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for the young star following Thomas Tuchel’s arrival at the club, having worked with Mbappe at the Parc des Princes, while Liverpool have long-been linked with a potential transfer for the World Cup winner.
However, his former teammate in the French capital Jese, who now plays for Las Palmas in Spain’s second division, says that Mbappe wants to join Real Madrid.
“He really wants to go to Real Madrid,” Jese told Marca.
“His idol has always been Cristiano Ronaldo. He loves Madrid and I’m sure he will play there one day.”
