Chelsea fans think Thomas Tuchel has hidden gem at his disposal in U23 side

Chelsea fans think Thomas Tuchel has a hidden gem at his disposal after watching the club’s U23 fixture against Arsenal on Friday.

The Blues development team picked up a 2-2 draw against their north London rivals in an eventful Premier League 2 fixture.

Thierno Ballo and Marcel Lewis scored for the hosts, while Reiss Nelson and Charlie Patino found the net for the Gunners.

The result moved Chelsea U23s up to fourth in the table with Arsenal just a few points behind in seventh spot.

But it was the performance of highly-rated youngster Tino Livramento which got supporters talking on Twitter.

One enthusiastic user commented how Livramento was “too good for the U23s.”

While another said “Liveramento deserves a chance in the first team.”

18-year-old Livramento is an attack-minded wing-back and provided the pre-assist for the opening goal against Arsenal.

He has featured 15 times for Chelsea’s U23s in all competitions this season and has had a hand in 10 goals.

That tally includes two strikes of his own against Arsenal U23s and Barnsley U23s plus a remarkable eight assists.

The youngster is unlikely to feature prominently in first team plans just yet but could be handed a chance in the FA Cup next week.

Chelsea travel to Barnsley in the 5th round of the competition on Thursday night and are expected to make changes.

Livramento is one of those who may be given an opportunity to impress alongside fellow Blues prospect Billy Gilmour.
