Jorginho explains why he ditched controversial penalty technique in Chelsea win at Spurs

Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has explained why he changed his controversial penalty technique during the win over Tottenham.

Jorginho scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot as the Blues triumphed over London rivals Spurs in a big clash in the battle for the top four.

The Italy international is known for a controversial style of spot kicks in which he stutters with a little jump before striking the ball.

However, there was no shenanigans before he placed the ball just out of the reach of Huge Lloris in the bottom left-hand corner.

And Jorginho admits that there is a simple reason why he decided against his old style.
