Chelsea fans are waxing lyrical about Thiago Silva after new footage emerged of the defender’s “world class” interception during Thursday’s 1-0 victory away at Tottenham.

Thomas Tuchel’s impressive start as Blues head coach continued in the week, with Jorginho’s first-half penalty handing him a second win out of three in the Premier League.

It was another solid performance from Tuchel’s men, who appear to have turned a corner since he replaced Frank Lampard in the hot-seat just under a fortnight ago.

However, Chelsea were dealt one blow in the win at Spurs, as 10 minutes before half-time Silva was forced off with a suspected thigh injury.
