Clever Timo Werner makes Mason Mount goal with nice assist » Chelsea News

“This is a big 5 minutes before half time” the commentator was waffling as we drifted towards the break, and so it has proved to be.

Chelsea now have the lead, and the state of the game is changed entirely. Timo Werner was played in by Ben Chilwell down the left, and the German was able to play a smart cutback to Mason Mount who cruised in from the edge of the box and finished nicely into the far corner first time.

Mount had been the most threatening player, and deserved his goal, but you’ve got to credit Werner’s creative play too.
