“Lots to like” – These Chelsea fans react to Conor Gallagher’s latest showin » Chelsea News

We’re through the first match of a very Super Sunday which is going to conclude with Chelsea’s game against Sheffield United this evening. It wasn’t a very spicy one – Spurs beat West Brom pretty easily, but it does have some interest for Blue fans.

First of all, of course, we’re hoping to see Tottenham drop points – that sadly didn’t work out. But as is so often the case for Chelsea fans flicking through the sports channels on a lazy Sunday, there was also a loanee to keep your eyes on.

Conor Gallagher really impressed earlier this season, but the arrival of Sam Allardyce at West Brom has really hurt his performances.  One Leeds fan watching noticed there was “lots to like” about the midfielder. If only we’d sent him to Elland Road!

We took a look on Twitter to see what other Blues fans and the rest of the social media gallery made of his showing today:

Conor Gallagher. Doubt he’ll make it at Chelsea but this kid is going to get even better.

Imagine if Conor Gallagher was loaned to a proper football team 🙁

Totally forgot Conor Gallagher was at West Brom this year. My interest in this game has gone up exponentially.

Watching the movement of Conor Gallagher in this #TOTWBA game is unreal. Shows Chelsea just want numbers out the door. He’s too good for WBA. Send players out on loan to teams that will develop THEIR game. Same for Maitland-Niles.
