Footage from a Chelsea training session has revealed how much Timo Werner’s team-mates want him to succeed amid a Premier League goal drought.
The German was signed from RB Leipzig last July, but has failed to get going at Stamford Bridge.
Werner has scored just four goals in the Premier League so far this season, with his last strike coming at the start of November.
During Chelsea’s Sunday evening clash with Sheffield United, Werner brought up the grim milestone of going 900 top-flight minutes without scoring, with the German being unsuccessful in 28 attempts on goal in 14 appearances since last finding the back of the net.

It is a new situation for Werner, who scored 28 goals in 34 Bundesliga appearances last term as he competed for the European Golden Boot.
His struggles to score, despite Chelsea paying nearly £50million to Leipzig for his services, are believed to be one of the main factors in the sacking of former boss Frank Lampard.
But Werner has not been shunned by his Chelsea team-mates despite his failure to convert chances, with footage from a midweek training session as the Blues prepared for their trip to the Blades showing they are continuing to support him.
In a scoring exercise, Werner ran into the box and onto the end of a cross which he proceeded to head past the goalkeeper and in.

Though it was merely in training rather than in a Premier League game, his team-mates displayed their delight at Werner’s goal.
With recently-appointed manager Thomas Tuchel watching on, members of the Chelsea team clapped as well as chanting ‘Timo, Timo, Timo’.
With Werner continuing to struggle in front of goal in Chelsea colours, he will need the full backing of his team if he is to avoid the same path that the likes of Fernando Torres and Radamel Falcao…
