Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with the agent of Jerome Boateng to sign the Bayern Munich defender.
The Blues have been linked with the 32-year-old, who will be a free agent this summer, for quite some time now.
The German centre-back is not the only Bayern star linked with an exit from the Bundesliga side as team-mate David Alaba is understood to be sought after by a host of European giants, including Chelsea.
But the Boateng transfer may be closer to being concluded, as according to Todofichajes these talks with Chelsea have progressed and it’s claimed they have now reached an agreement over a deal for him to move to Stamford Bridge.

It adds that if nothing goes wrong, Boateng will arrive at the London outfit this summer and become Thomas Tuchel’s first signing at the club.
Earlier this season, Bayern Munich sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic admitted Boateng is likely to leave the club this summer.
“We all know Jerome has a contract until June 30, 2021,” Salihamidzic told Sky Germany.
“We will talk to Jerome and his management at a reasonable time. We’ll come to a fair decision for everyone. This is not an issue for us at the moment.”
Boateng joined Bayern from Manchester City, where he had a stuttering season in 2010/11, in July 2011 and since then he has made 346 appearances for the German outfit.
He has gone onto make 76 caps for his country and won an incredible 20 trophies with Bayern over the years.
It is not like he has been completely phased out as he nears the end of his contract as he has started 17 out of 20 Bundesliga games for Bayern this season.
In August last year, the German international said he was open to a return to the Premier League in the future.
